St Barnabas Church
WEBSITE DESIGN
Crafting a digital presence for St. Barnabas Church in Roseneath, Wellington, presented a unique challenge and opportunity. With no prior online footprint and only a vintage hand-drawn logo as a reference point, our task was to usher the church into the digital age while respecting its rich heritage and appealing to a diverse congregation.
Our approach focused on creating a modern, one-page website that served as both a window into the church's activities and a welcoming invitation to prospective worshippers. Working closely with the church team, we transformed a single photograph of church stained glass into a timeless yet contemporary logo, drawing inspiration from the past while embracing the present. This logo not only became the cornerstone of the church's branding but also dictated the color palette, lending cohesion to the entire website.
Despite constraints such as limited resources and imagery, we leveraged our expertise to curate compelling content and provide strategic guidance every step of the way. The result was a visually captivating and user-friendly website that effectively communicates the essence of St. Barnabas Church, serving as a beacon for both existing members and those seeking spiritual connection.
Words from the client
βIt was an absolute pleasure to work on this with Jodi. I'm so glad that we didn't try to tackle this ourselves as some small organisations do.β
