Initial consultation and quoting
You’ve seen my work, and you’re ready to collaborate—thank you! Before we begin, I’ll have a detailed chat with you over the phone or by email to discuss your website needs. During this conversation, we’ll determine:
The size and scope of the website (e.g., one-page vs. multi-page)
Whether you need additional services such as content writing, logo design, or organising photography
This will allow me to provide an accurate quote tailored to your project. Once the quote is approved, I’ll send over a contract and invoice for a 20% deposit to secure your spot in my schedule. Most projects begin within 4 weeks, depending on my current workload.
Gathering materials
After the quote is approved and the deposit is paid, I’ll need the following details before the planned start date, as I can’t begin the project until I have all the required information:
Your brand colours, logo, and any existing content
Your style or layout preferences (feel free to share websites that inspire you)
Your existing or desired domain name (I can help check availability)
A brief overview of your business and its values (If you’re unsure about how to write this, I can assist—either refining bullet points or conducting a 15-minute phone interview for an additional cost)
1 to 3 client or customer testimonials
Details about the services you offer
Any images you’d like to include (portfolio, product, or gallery images)
Your business contact information
Once I’ve received all the materials, I’ll begin work on the project, starting with a draft of your homepage.
Let the design begin
Once I’ve gathered all the materials and done my research, I’ll begin working on a draft of your homepage. This step is usually completed within a week and allows us to ensure we’ve captured the right look and feel before building the rest of the site.
Homepage preview
I’ll provide a password-protected preview of your homepage so you can see exactly how it will look and feel. At this stage, you’ll receive the second instalment invoice. Once you’re satisfied with the homepage design, I’ll proceed with building the rest of the pages.
Full website build
After the homepage is approved, I’ll move on to building the rest of the website, ensuring everything is consistent with your vision. Any feedback you provide will be incorporated to ensure we stay aligned with your business goals.
Review and revisions
The complete website will be sent to you for review. You’ll have the chance to request any revisions or final tweaks before the site is launched. I’m here to make sure every detail meets your expectations.
Final launch
Once you’ve approved the final version of the website and the remaining balance is paid, it’s time to go live! I’ll publish your website and grant you full administrative access. Additionally, I’ll set up essential Google services like Google Search Console and Google Analytics, ensuring that Google knows your site is live and begins crawling it.
Timeline
